| The musical director of the New York Philharmonics Kurt Masur is critical of the US attacks against Afghanistan. "Today, we again have a war - a war, which is maybe not necessary and may be even not victorious!" he said in Leipzig, during an event in rememberance of the peaceful 1989 revolution in East Germany.
