| We are always pleased, when politicians are speaking out about our concerns and work. French President Chirac talked about the importance of the international diversity of cultures and repeated part of our mission statement: Only through an open dialogue of cultures can we overcome the hatred int he world. Understanding the rich value of our diversity would enable a more respectful and tolerant co-existence. see the Unesco Press Release: "President Jacques Chirac of France today advocated dialogue among cultures and declared that cultural diversity is "based on the conviction that each people has a specific message to the world, that each people can enrich humanity by contributing its share of beauty and truth"
