THE WORLD CULTURE JOURNAL | published by WebdaK Communications | ![]() |
| Aahh- what a date today. Four "2's" and four "0'2". This happens only once in a lifetime. The 2 is traditionally a symbol for new relationships, defining a point outside oneself - and the "0" is regarded as a sign for a new beginning, when only the idea was born and much is still open for new developments. Is there a better day for issue #0 of our journal? Change is happening all around us - and finally citizens of the USA are realizing again, that there is a world beyond the American borders... Well, we know that there is a strong movement backwards trying to close the doors of a nation, which is build in its entirety on immigration - a movement which comes from re- established fear. For the ordinary citizen, it is easier now to "stay home and wait until it's all over"; mainstream media & politics feed these emotions with the purpose of better control... ..but we believe in the value of exchange and diversity. We urge you to go out and discover new & old forms of art, music and media; don't let your world-view be shaped from the comfort zone of your own home, fed by pre-written news reports and one-eyed information, without even listening to the words and images from the other 95% of the world. Stay open - in your own interest!
