| The World is an hourly radio show, that truly delivers, what it title suggests. The Listener actually gets information on a variety of subjects from around the world. Today's program included for example a report about new Voting Computer Systems in Venezuela, some reports about Iraq, conversations with a German Beer expert and a freed Canadian hostage and a report about North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. While this is mostly a general news program, it also broadcasts often cultural reports. My personal favorite is the last 10 minutes, when "Global Hit" introduces discoveries from the vast World Music Scene.
